Ghostrunner Overview

Ghostrunner is a first-person action SLASHER game with slick parkour-inspired gameplay elements. Players assume the role of an android ninja, utilizing a combination of abilities and melee katana combat to slice foes as they ascend treacherous neon cyberpunk skyscrapers of the future.

Players have a wide range of movement abilities, including:

• Wall running
• Sliding
• Time manipulation

This enables them to eliminate all targets in their way.

• UNUSUAL PERSPECTIVE: Ghostrunner offers unique and challenging gameplay with half-open, primarily vertical levels. This design incorporates elements of exploration and environmental storytelling about the player character’s background and the game world.
• ONE HIT, ONE KILL: The One-Hit-One-Kill system is crucial alongside the movement mechanics. Both the player and opponents have one hit point, allowing for instant restarts that help players learn game level layouts and navigate combat with extraordinary mobility and a Sensory Boost (slow-motion ability).
• PARKOUR MOVEMENT MECHANICS: The dynamic movement system allows players to run on walls, slide and slice foes, dash, manipulate time, and leap off neon-lit surfaces.
• CYBERPUNK SETTING: Set in a post-apocalyptic future, the remnants of humanity reside in an ominous neon tower built by The Architect, who died mysteriously years ago. The truth is known, yet remains unspoken.

In Ghostrunner, death is inevitable; players have one hit point and must rely on their kill mechanics and dynamic mobility to face challenging foes without taking damage. The goal is to reach the top of the structure to defeat the tyrannical Keymaster and prevent humanity’s extinction.
